Fashion+Jewelry in NYC is Always a Good Idea

Fashion+Jewelry in NYC is Always a Good Idea

NYC is perfectly fantastic any time of year but there is something special about a Fall visit. The excitement of the new collections maybe? (and the mercury coming down a bit).

Come with me September 28th & 29th

Take in the Met exhibit "Heavenly Bodies”, visit jewelry artists in their studios, meet fab women and generally have a great time.

We meet Friday, September 28th at 11:00am

at The Cloisters (99 Margaret Corbin Dr, New York) for Part I of the Heavenly Bodies exhibit.

Part II of the exhibit is at the Met Fifth avenue and scheduled for an after lunch visit. Lunch is enjoyed at the New Leaf restaurant in Fort Tyron Park (which should be fantastic if the Fall colors are out).

There is so much to learn and discover at the exhibit that I have asked Anu Liivandi to be our expert on hand. Anu is assistant curator at the ROM. She is a textiles specialist and more particularly church vestments and European silks which figure largely in this exhibition.

Early evening cocktails are enjoyed at an artist’s studio before settingout for dinner in the Flatiron District

Saturday September 29th

is dedicated to visiting jewelry studios and collections in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

A detailed itinerary for the day will be shared closer to the date.

We are staying at the boutique hotel The Archer in midtown. Our last stay there in April was excellent – it does have a premium view of the Empire State Building.

The price of the trip is $1,700 per person in double occupancy and $2,000 in single occupancy (you have a choice of Classic King or Double/Double suite). It includes the accomodation, museum visit with Anu Liivandi, lunch at the New Leaf (drinks excluded), studios and galleries visits.

If you wish to check in Thursday, September 27th and stay until Sunday, September 30th please let me know and I will confirm hotel pricing with you.

Please email me at if you wish to come along this short but fun adventure.

I will then connect you to Ilana Valo at Twil Travel ( – she will finalize your booking and handle all payments. She can also recommend flights and transfers as well as travel insurance which is always a good idea.

A non-refundable 30% deposit is required to secure the booking. The balance is due on September 1 and is non-refundable.

Any question please feel free to reach out at any time.
