Announcing the Opening of Galerie Rue Pigalle

I am very excited to announce the opening on November 28th of Galerie Rue Pigalle, on the Upper Floor of Yorkville Village (previously Hazelton Lane).  Look for illustrious art and fashion heavy weights such as Belstaff, Galerie de Bellefeuille, Jean-Pierre Fortin or TNT Concept and you will find little me in the mix—I’ll be there until December 31st.

You might be surprised to find me in a mall. I am a fierce defender of independent businesses and mall culture is really, really not part of my DNA. But I must admit the new Yorkville Village has a different feel. Art exhibits with OCAD, Toronto Fashion Week events (did you see Jean-Paul Gaultier?), a Dali exhibit, opera events. It just feels right.

I have called my temporary store “Galerie Rue Pigalle”. I really believe in the artistry of the jewelry I show and the skilled craftsmanship. I also believe in the concept of creating our own collection of emotions every time we buy a piece that gives us joy.

The Galerie will also be home to some of the most iconic Stacklab Studio furniture. Did you have a chance to see their installation at the Design Exchange for Design Week—it was mind blowing. The jewelry on their tables is going to be gallery-gorgeous.

Over the years I have forged some very strong and personal relationships with phenomenal artists. I am very honoured that Jed Green, Isabelle Busnel and Michelle Lowe-Holder have entrusted me with their latest collections—I am humbled by their generosity (more about them in my next post).

So, let’s start with a bang! and celebrate the opening of Galerie Rue Pigalle together.

Stop by on November 28th and treat yourself to a little something to be entered in our Opening Day Prize Draw for a $300 gift certificate.

I can’t wait to welcome you all at Galerie Rue Pigalle.
